Dear Comic Book People:My name is Mandela Addah. I live in Toronto, Canada.I am a professional comic scrpwtiriter seeking employment. Hopefully with you. I like to write superhero and I have had work published elsewhere. All my comic books are wholesome. They have lots of action and adventure. My comics do not have any sex, swearing, or bloody violence, and none of my books feature scantily clad women with unrealistic figures.I would like to know if you are looking for new talent. If so, confirm. I will then e-mail you a short 5 page script about a character I created called Rush. If you go over it you will see that I know my job and would be a credit to your team. Please get back to me and tel me what you think.

By March 13, 2007 - 3:13 pmOf course, all jonikg aside, forum/blog spam is a major problem. . The plural of anecdote isn't data, but since all I have is anecdotal evidence This week, I have cleared approximately 450 comments from our Akismet quarantine. 0 of these were genuine comments. All of them were spam. In fact, I think I've only promoted 2 comments from our Akismet quarantine, ever. And I don't think I'm the only person clearing spam from our quarantine This month, I have deleted approximately 1 dozen user registrations that were clearly for spam purposes. In all of WorldIV's vast and glorious history, only a handful of unsolicited registrations have been non-spam.On an unrelated web forum that I administer, I had a nonstop stream of 1-2 spam registrations and associated comments per day, despite my best efforts to block domains. Until I wrote my own (crude, and yet seemingly 100% effective) anti-spam tool, nothing I tried stopped the flood. This included changing common parameter names and required values, blocking registrations if known (but hidden, as in removed from the form at the server) fields were provided (as by a bot), and even adding required cryptographic signatures. Even an old, crude blog that I wrote was eventually discovered by a spambot. And that was completely custom code! (Solution: a home-grown CAPTCHA. 6 entire words in the dictionary, and yet again because it was unique, it worked!)In the end, I guess, spam is just an unpleasant but unavoidable fact of internet life these days. http://arjbpgovtmt.com anikavufbk [link=http://tbffdfcq.com]tbffdfcq[/link]
